Extensive Foveoschisis in an Emmetropic Patient Associated with Vitreomacular Traction: A Case Report

چکیده
Aims: To report a rare case of foveoschisis caused by vitreomacular traction in young emmetropic female patient.
Presentation the Case: A 37-year-old woman, without any systemic or ocular disorders, presented with progressively reduced visual acuity her right eye over last 3 months. Best-corrected (BCVA) was counting fingers eye. Optical coherence tomography revealed foveal detachment eye, which successfully treated pars plana vitrectomy internal limiting membrane peeling and gas tamponade. Three months post-operatively BCVA improved to 6/12.
Discussion Conclusion: Although high myopia is main cause foveoschsis, can rarely be associated foveoschisis, specially patients other history. In these cases extensive posterior vitreous induction may have favorable outcomes.
